I am a semi-retired professional, looking for interesting home exchanges all around the world. I’m mainly interested in a swap in spring of 2011, but would consider other times. I have done exchanges in Europe and in the US. Although I’m open to world-wide exchanges, I’m currently interested in an exchange in the UK, either a large city, like London, or a small city, like Bath, or village where I can walk or bike to restaurants and shops. I’m interested in exchanging with someone like myself who is retired, or a writer or artist, who can exchange for 3-8+ weeks, depending on the location. I’m open to offers.

I have a lovely, open, 2 level, 2 bedroom, with 2 1/2 baths, a study, and large patio that is just a 5 minute walk from the West Falls Church Virginia Metro stop on Washington DC’s Orange Line. The subway will take you to the free Smithsonian museums, to art galleries, DC theatres, parks, the White House, great restaurants, US history, the National Zoo, etc – all that the DC area has to offer. From my home you can also walk to a number of restaurants (Indian, Thai, Afghan, Italian,…), to a grocery market, a bakery, a pharmacy, Starbucks, etc. The metro can take you to and from National Airport, and a there is a direct shuttle from my metro stop to Dulles Airport. There is no need for a car while you’re staying here.
